Halloween Slime – UK recipe

We have been having a lovely relaxed family day today as we start half term.  Seb wanted to make some Halloween slime – so I thought we would share it with you.

We still love our simple slime recipe and it literally takes 4 minutes to make.   Seb has made a little video showing how it is done.  Full instructions below.

Once it was turned out it was still a bit sticky so we kneaded it with a bit more contact lens solution and it all came together perfectly 🙂

How fab are these glass eyes – perfect for this spooky slime.  #affiliate

OOOHHHHHH spooky!!

I have created a free printable of this recipe and instructions – or see below with links to purchase bits you need from amazon:

UK Slime recipe borax free

1 cup of PVA glue

¼ cup of water

Food colour (gels work best)

1 tbsp bicarbonate of soda

Contact lens solution (with boric acid)

  1. Put the all the ingredients except for the contact lens solution into a bowl and mix well – until combined.
  2. Add a tablespoon of contact lens solution and mix well. It should start coming together.
  3. Add more contact lens solution if needed. Mix well.  Keep going until the slime is not too sticky to touch.
  4. Turn out onto a smooth surface and knead for a few minutes. Then it should be ready.

We hope you have fun!
